Dad, you were my hero. To have never got to say goodbye to you really hurt and I really do miss you. When I was away I could rely on the fact that maybe one day I'd see you again. But now that hope is gone and you're now on the other side. The impact of your love and the lessons you taught me will never leave me til the day I die.
